WWD CEO Summit & Honors Awards

For over 100 years, WWD has been the voice of authority in the global women's and men's fashion, retail and beauty communities and the consumer media that cover the market. Every fall over 300 titans of the industry gather to witness a stage harnessing the power of data, and of unfettered creativity, to deal make the future of fashion.

Role

As the head of event design and production for three of these annual summits my approach was to increase activating guest interaction with sponsors through custom experience booths increasing b2b revenue, enhancing luxury amenities to drive attendee ticket sales and eliminating the stuffy ballroom stereotype.

  • Executive Production

  • Stage Content, Animation & Video Production

  • Live Broadcast and Live Stream Production

  • Talent Relations

  • Image, Talent and Copy Right Management

  • Scenic Design, Interior Design and Table Top Styling

The Environment.

With a high attendee return rate and inherited multiyear unionized venue contract I decided to lean into generating compelling show graphics, soundtracks, customized catering, to keep a fresh appeal for the ticket holders often spending well over ten thousand dollars to attend. The Pierre Hotel, an ornate landmark venue was transformed into a contemporary and modern design with first ever home of WWD, sponsors and brands activated key environments creating a WWD Studio, WWD Kitchen, and WWD Living Room all with live demonstrations and broadcast opportunities.

The Dinner.

The first John B. Fairchild Honors Dinner, named after WWD's late chairman and editorial director, was an evening of opulence and legacy. He was a visionary, a pioneer that left behind a lasting mark on the history of journalism, revolutionizing the way fashion is portrayed. Honors were presented Karl Lagerfeld of Fendi, Chanel, and Chole, Ralph Lauren, Monoclear, The Real Real , Patagonia, Gucci and more. The red carpet was adored with the fragrance from the real twenty foot rose wall and the tables naked in slick mirror with satan napkins and white orchids draping the bone china.
